Misleading "Domain Registry of America" Notices

Beware of notices from any one of:

• Domain Registry of America
• Domain Registry of Canada
• Domain Renewal Group
• Internet Registry of Canada

We have no association whatsoever with the company which goes by several names above.  You can disregard their notices which commonly come via email and through regular mail.

Basically, the company sends notices which appear to be bills to renew your domain. They are actually contracts for you to move your domain to their services at a far higher price than most domain registration companies.

The company has been cited by the Federal Trade Commission for misleading consumers and they have the a C- grade from the Better Business Bureau.

We highly recommend ignoring the notices. To see what one looks like, please see our earlier warning post about this company.

If you have already sent money to the company, we recommend contacting them and asking for a refund. If you have any questions, please contact our support team by clicking the "SUPPORT" link at the top of your site.

Awesome Template Design Improvements: New Fonts, Faster Load Times and More

We're super excited to announce some improvements to the template builder that will mean more design flexibility and faster load times for you. Here's what we did:

40 new fonts for your header

We've added 40 Google fonts to bring the total to 55 fonts you can use on your header. Anytime you change your text, you'll notice it happens live right on the preview image so you'll see if it works with your design.

Here's the full list of fonts:

Just a quick refresher, to add text to your header in any of the fonts above, click on "Design" -> "Edit Current Template" or select a template first and edit it. Then, click the "Add Text to Header" button. You can add up to 3 lines of text which you can drag anywhere on your header.

Set the letter spacing of your header text

Now, when you're adding your header text, you can change your letter spacing by selecting a spacing of -10 to 50 in the "Spacing" drop down menu.  Negative amounts squeeze text closer together while postive numbers spread your text further apart.

Here's an example of spacing that's -3 (top) and 5 (bottom):

Set the button height for your navigation buttons

In the Design section, go to the "Edit Menu" tab and you'll notice a new option "Button Height." This can be set to 0 or any number between 10 and 100. Here's an example of button height set to 10 (top) and 100 (bottom).

Exact measurements for your borders, menu settings and body margins

Instead of a drop down menu of set measurement options, you can now enter in an exact pixel measurement for the following (minimum and maximum show on the right):

Edit Border

• Width:  640-1024
• Border:  0-10
• Margin Size:  0-10

Edit Menu

• Button Spacing:  0-10
• Button Border:  0-10
• Button Width:  100-250

Edit Body

• Margin Width:  0-100
• Margin Height:  0-100

Faster load times when working on your template design

You'll notice as you're editing your template and saving changes that your page loads about 10 times faster.
