As you know, yesterday was quite a day. Here’s what happened:
At 3pm, Pacific Standard Time, we experienced a hardware failure that caused the system to go offline very briefly. We quickly shifted to backup data and were back online in a matter of minutes.
Because the hardware issue affected our real-time backup data, the data we switched over to includes all edits and changes made to your website and account before April 14 at 12am. This means that any adjustments made to your website or account yesterday, April 14th, between 12am and 3pm PST will not show on your website.
If you received orders during this time that are not showing in your account, we will be contacting you soon.
We know that a few of you might be missing some of the work you did yesterday. As an expression of our apology, we’re sending microloans to 10 entrepreneurs through Kiva (www.kiva.com), a person-to-person micro-lending website that allows us to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs around the globe.
As our tech team spent yesterday working through the hardware issue, we’ve postponed the new inventory feature launch for the time being. We will also be making some changes to ensure that yesterday’s issue does not happen again.
