Over the last few years, EZProvider has made a number of improvements to the WebsiteDynamics platform behind the scenes to improve reliability and security. Nearly every piece of critical hardware and software that supports your website has been upgraded or replaced. As many of these changes are not immediately obvious to you or your visitors, we wanted to provide a quick summary of these improvements that have been taking place steadily for the last few years.
- Migrated all services onto brand new, enterprise-grade server hardware with added redundancy, to improve stability and make websites load faster. The old hardware had a total of 57 CPU cores and 149GB of Ram. The new hardware has 192 CPU cores and 736GB of Ram.
- Upgraded our network hardware to increase website performance and overall visitor traffic capacity. The old network was all 1GBPS capacity, the new network is a mix of 100GBPS, 40GBPS and 10GBPS.
- Added protection for DDoS (distributed denial of service) attacks to improve uptime and prevent website instability and performance degradation or outages due to malicious actors targeting our clients.
- Replaced the DNS system with new hardware and software, making it not only more resilient but faster.
- Replaced database servers with new hardware and software. Again, major improvement in performance and resiliency.
- Fixed TLS encryption issues in the software to protect against potential security issues with the platform.
- Fixed issues with SSL certificate issuing process to help keep websites secure – this powers the httpS:// portion of your website.
- Rebuilt our email delivery system to improve delivery rates, reduce spam rejections and delays in email delivery.
- Implemented better Google reCAPTCHA integration on forms in various places on the website to improve security, minimize abuse and reduce the number of spam/junk submissions.
As the cumulative effect of all of thes changes, we are happy to report that our platform – and your websites – are faster, more reliable, and more secure than they have ever been.
