Want to help customers remember and search engines index your website pages? Rename them!
By default, the URL of your website pages typically looks something like www.yourwebsite.com/page/page/12345.htm. You’ve always been able to change the URL to reflect the content on that page to something like www.yourwebsite.com/home.htm, but it just got a lot easier.
Now, instead of changing your page addresses one by one on each individual editing page, you can now mass manage your page extensions.
1. Click ‘Manage’ on your editing toolbar, then click the ‘Change URL’ tab.
2. Enter the new page extension in the text field beside the name of the page you’d like to change and click ‘Save’.
Change all or just a few of your pages at one time. To leave a page address the way it is, just leave the text field blank. Have you changed your page names yet? What are you waiting for?!
