Authorize.net – Issue a Refund

  1. To issue a refund through Authorize.net:
  2. Log into Authorize.net.
  3. Click on ‘Search and Download’.
  4. Enter in thecredit card number you charged. You can get this from your [host.name] site.
  5. You now see all your transactions for thatcharge. Using the date, you can figure out which charge is the one youwant to refund. Copy the Transaction ID number.
  6. Click on ‘Virtual Terminal’.
  7. Mark off ‘Refund a Credit Card’ and enter the transaction id, credit card number, and amount.
  8. Doublecheck this and then click ‘Submit’.
