Copy and paste are commonly used functions for moving text on your computer.
To cut or copy text:
- Highlight the textfirst.
NOTE: To do this, place your mouse pointer at the beginning of thetext, then click and hold the left mouse button while dragging yourmouse pointer over the text. - Release the left mouse button.
- Withthe cursor still over the highlighted text, click the right mousebutton.
- Select Copy or Cut from the right-click menu that appears.
To paste the text:
- Click in the area you wish to paste
- Right-click.
- Select Paste from the menu.
NOTE: For Mac users, holding the Control keywhile clicking is equivalent to right-clicking and will allow access tothe above functions.
You can also use keyboard shortcuts to cut, copy and paste. They are:
Cut: CTRL+X (PC), Command+X (Mac)
Copy: CTRL+C (PC), Command+C (Mac)
Paste: CTRL+V (PC), Command+V (Mac)
