Follow the steps below to set up your email address on your Mac running OS X 10.4 (Tiger).
- Open the Mail application, found in the Applications folder. Click on ‘File’, then click ‘Add Account’. Use these settings and click ‘OK’.
Full Name: name that will be seen by email recipients
Email Address: your email address
Incoming Mail Server: mail.b.hostedemail.com
Account Type: POP
Username: your email address
Password: your email account password
Outgoing (SMTP) Server: mail.b.hostedemail.com
- Once you’ve set up the account as above, click ‘Mail’, then click ‘Preferences’ in the menu bar (top of the screen).
- In the ‘Accounts’ section, select ‘Password’ in the ‘Authentication’ dropdown menu, then enter your username and password as in step 1 and click ‘OK’.
